Yermak: Allied howitzers are already at the front, but Ukraine needs more heavy weapons

The howitzers provided by international partners are already at the front, but Ukraine needs many more heavy weapons, multiple rocket launchers, tanks and surface-to-air missile systems.

The head of the Office of the President Andrei Yermak wrote this in his Telegram channel.

"Howitzers from our allies are fighting on the front lines. But we need much more heavy weapons, multiple rocket launchers, tanks and SAMs. The list of needs is formed," he wrote.

Yermak also said that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the eve of the Alliance defense ministers' meeting in Brussels called for more heavy weapons for Ukraine.

"Victory is won by force," he added.

As a reminder, a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's defense is scheduled for Wednesday in Brussels. There will also be a meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of NATO defense ministers on June 15-16 in Brussels.

On May 23, the second meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine, which was tacitly called "Ramstein," was held. The meeting was attended by defense ministers from more than 40 countries, including Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin.

Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin disclosed the agreements to supply weapons to Ukraine from the international support group for the war against Russia, which had been concluded at the "Ramstein-2".
