Ukraine intends to retake Crimea with Western weapons, - Reznikov

Weapons from allies will help Ukraine regain Russian-occupied territories. Including Crimea and Donbas.

Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said this in an interview with CNN.

"We are going to liberate all of our territories, including Crimea - this is a strategic goal for Ukraine, because it is Ukrainian territory and we will move step by step," Reznikov said.

At the same time, the head of the Defense Ministry noted that the first step would be to stabilize the situation on the ground to prevent further losses against Russian forces.

The second stage, according to him, is to return the Russian troops to their positions for a full-scale invasion on February 24.

And only in the third stage, Reznikov said, would there be talks with Ukraine's partners on how to liberate the territories, including Crimea,

Asked by a journalist whether an attempt to retake Crimea militarily could further provoke the Russian Federation, he replied, "It doesn't matter. Because they (Russians - ed.) will see it in Kherson, they will see it in Zaporizhzhia, they will also see it in Mariupol... because these are Ukrainian lands, and Crimea is also Ukrainian land, no matter what," Reznikov concluded.

Recall, as previously allowed in the Ukrainian intelligence, before the end of the year the AFU can at least enter the territory of the temporarily occupied peninsula.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the price of the liberation of Crimea from the Russian occupation is the lives of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians.

We would like to point out that a few days before the start of the war against Ukraine, Vladimir Putin expressed his fear that Kiev would try to retake Crimea by force.
