Russia has blocked Britain's The Telegraph

In Russia, the website of the British publication The Telegraph was blocked for its February 23 publication about Russia and Ukraine.

This was reported by the Russian Interfax.

"Roskomnadzor" at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office restricted access to one publication, but the entire site was inaccessible. The blocking registry notes that access was restricted to the February 23 publication - the prosecutor's office filed such a request on April 22, citing an article in the information law regulating restrictions on websites with "calls for mass unrest, extremist activities and unreliable socially significant information." It is not yet known exactly which publication is in question.

Since the publication uses the https network protocol, blocking one page leads to the blocking of the entire site.

According to RoskomSvoboda, an organization that tracks the register of blocked resources, the blocking was launched on June 20.

Earlier, Russia blocked the websites of Voice of America, BBC, Radio Liberty, Euronews, and DW.
