China is ready to reincorporate Taiwan. Even by military means. This was stated by Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shae on the air of Livre Noir.
"We will return Taiwan by all means, including military means," the ambassador said.
Note that according to Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe, China will not hesitate to start a war against Taiwan if the latter declares its independence.
