Consulates in Germany warned Ukrainians about the problems until the end of August and the queues from September

Starting from September 1, according to the decision of the embassy, all consular offices in Germany will provide special services for Ukrainians seeking protection from the war in the "live line" mode.

This was reported by the Consulate General of Ukraine in Munich.

In particular, the "waiting list" mode will concern such services as prolongation of the term of validity of a foreign passport and adding data about children to a foreign passport of one of the parents.

The Consulate General explained that the regime of "waiting in line" will be introduced initially in the fall, since the end of August is reserved for these actions.

It is noted that other standard consular services: registration of the passport, notarial acts, citizenship issues, etc. - will continue to be provided by online booking.

The Consulate General urged citizens to "refrain from value judgments on these circumstances" because, according to him, the decisions on the mode of operation of the Consulate General are "executed and not made.

Also, since September 1 will be suspended "certificate of identification," which was a forced temporary measure.

"Once again we emphasize that the consulate is working under wartime conditions: reception of citizens is conducted in two shifts instead of certain working hours, including on holidays. We are working on the edge, and often beyond our resources.

Despite this, the demand for consular services continues to far exceed our technical and human capacity, resulting in a shortage of available slots for reservations, and starting in September will cause long lines and probably an inability to accommodate all comers, since our daily capacity is limited. This is the objective reality that we have to work with and you have to use our services. We hope for understanding and mutual respect," reads the message of the Consulate General.
