Russian troops have not destroyed a single HIMARS in Ukraine - U.S. command

The head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, stated that Russian troops have not destroyed a single HIMARS. This was reported by the U.S. Department of Defense.

"To date, the HIMARS that we have provided to Ukraine - and we are not the only country, by the way, other countries also provide long-range systems. Great Britain, for example, and some other countries are providing long-range rocket artillery. To date, these systems have not been destroyed by the Russians, and I knock on wood every time I say something like that. And they (Ukrainians - ed.) use them very effectively," Milli said.

According to Milley, the problem may lie in the lack and consumption of ammunition for HIMARS.

The U.S. Defense Department is closely tied to the industrial base and manufacturing facility that must continue to produce these weapons systems.

So it's not so much about the launcher as it is about the ammunition.

Milley also added that the Ukrainians are using the HIMARS very effectively and praised the work of Ukrainian artillerymen, "Great artillerymen, as the British would call them. And they are very, very effective."
