Ukraine hit more than 400 Russian targets with HIMARS systems - General Milley

Ukraine struck more than 400 Russian targets with HIMARS systems, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said.

"We are seeing real and measurable progress by Ukraine in the use of these systems. For example, the Ukrainians have engaged over 400 targets with HIMARS, and this has had a devastating effect. Russian lines of communication and supply chains are heavily congested. This has a direct impact on Russia's ability to project and maintain combat power," Milli said at a press conference following the 5th meeting of the Defense Contact Group of Ukraine at Ramstein Air Base in Germany on Thursday

According to him, the Russian command and control at the headquarters has been destroyed, and they have great difficulties in replenishing their forces and replenishing combat losses.

Milli said that to date, the USA has transferred to Ukraine 16 HIMARS systems with thousands of GLMRS shells, hundreds of thousands of 155-mm artillery ammunition, as well as 126 M-777 artillery guns, thousands of anti-tank weapons, thousands of anti-aircraft guns, non-lethal missiles. The US also provided almost half a million 155 mm shells.

"The war is not over, Russia is a big country, they have very serious ambitions for Ukraine, so Ukraine will need support to continue its struggle for its survival," Milli said.
