Scholz: Germany transfers the most modern military equipment to Ukraine

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz rejected criticism of his government regarding insufficient arms supplies to Ukraine.

 DW writes about it.

"Germany supplies a lot of weapons and at the same time is in the process of supplying the most modern and effective equipment," Scholz emphasized, adding that at the same time it is about "ensuring the absence of an escalation of the war."

Scholz listed deliveries of other types of weapons that have already taken place and are still planned, including Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, Panzerhaubitze 2000 artillery and rocket launcher systems, as well as planned deliveries of the Iris-T air defense system and the Cobra artillery radar.

"It will be soon. Germany will continue to provide Ukraine with what it needs for its defense," the chancellor said.

Earlier, the media reported that the German government approved the sale of 255 Vulcano high-precision guided artillery shells to Ukraine, but the date of their transfer is still unknown.

The 155mm Vulcano shells can be fired from large howitzers – such as Germany's Panzerhaubitze 2000, which Germany has already transferred to Ukraine, effectively doubling their defeat zone.
