Since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost more than 900 elite military personnel, including GRU commandos, marines and paratroopers.

Journalists of the publication established that as of September 1, 245 employees of the Russian Guard, mainly special forces, SOBR and OMON fighters, as well as 151 GRU special forces soldiers, had died in the Russian war. Almost every fourth of those killed in the Russian Guard and GRU special forces is an officer.
Other dead elite military specialists include:
marines - 337 people,
Airborne Forces - 144 people,
military pilots - 67 people,
FSB and FST - 20 people.
According to the assessment of Michael Kofman, an expert of the Center for Naval Analysis, for every dead Russian serviceman during the war in Ukraine, there are about 3.5 wounded.
We will remind, over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated 450 occupiers. In total, Russia lost more than 48,000 soldiers.
