The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, commented on China's ambiguous position on the war and acknowledged the mistake of Ukrainian diplomats. He said this in an interview with Quest-France.
"Before the large-scale invasion, there were communication channels between our countries, we had a lot of economic and trade cooperation," Zelenskiy said.
Zelenskiy said that Ukraine and China are not cooperating now, but he would like China to help.
The president added that a conversation with the Chinese leader would be difficult today.
In addition, Zelenskiy recognized the "weakness" and "mistake" of Ukrainian diplomacy, which consists in insufficient presence in certain regions of the world, such as the Caribbean.
