The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria asks its citizens not to travel to Russia and to leave it as soon as possible

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria on Tuesday urged fellow citizens to refrain from traveling to the Russian Federation, and those who are already there to leave as soon as possible. This is reported by News.bg.

It is noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Bulgarian citizens who are in the territory of the Russian Federation to consider the possibility of urgently leaving the country by means of transport that are currently available.

The reason for these recommendations is "deterioration of the situation".

"We advise Bulgarian citizens who are in the territory of the Russian Federation to exercise increased vigilance, avoid places of mass gathering of people, while taking into account the circumstances and the development of the situation with all due caution," the statement emphasizes.

Those citizens of Bulgaria who need help are advised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact the embassy in Moscow, the consulate general in St. Petersburg, as well as the hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

We will remind, the day before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia also advised the citizens of the country not to travel to Russia without an urgent need and to completely avoid trips to the regions bordering Ukraine.

The reasons for such recommendations were not specified, but they are probably related to the partial mobilization in Russia, within which even foreigners can be called up for military service.
