Ukraine terminated the agreement on cooperation with Syria in the field of air transport. The document has been in effect since 1993. This was stated by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in Telegram.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine terminated the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic on air transport. The agreement between the countries was signed on April 2, 1993 in Kyiv.
Back in the summer, Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Syria, introduced a trade embargo and other economic sanctions against Syrian legal entities and individuals. This happened due to the decision of the Syrian Arab Republic to recognize the so-called "independence" of temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
