A military official of the United States said that the country has no involvement in the gas leaks in the "Nord Streams". This is reported by Reuters.
The official said that despite concerns from US allies that the ruptures of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines were deliberate, Washington believes it is too early to conclude sabotage.
"The jury has not yet reached a verdict. Many of our partners, I believe, have determined or believe that this is sabotage... I am not in a position to tell you that it is one way or another," the official said on condition . anonymity
When asked if any US involvement in the ruptures could be ruled out, he said: "We are absolutely not involved."
The official also noted that the Pentagon could use underwater military capabilities to assist in the leak investigation, but that it "has not been asked to provide such support."
Earlier, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, in a conversation with his Danish colleague, offered help in connection with the gas pipeline leak.
