Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmytro Peskov said that the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" are part of the Russian Federation within 2014, in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, the issue of borders will be resolved in the course of further discussion with the population, he told journalists on Monday, UP writes.
To a clarifying question, whether there is an unequivocal answer to the question of borders, Peskov said: "This is now an unequivocal answer. We will continue to consult with the people who live in these areas."
When asked to comment on whether the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions controlled by Kyiv are Russian territory, Peskov said: "I have nothing more to add now."
Journalists asked Peskov in what form the discussion with the population of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions on the issue of borders would continue, Peskov remarked: "Now I cannot answer your question."
