The European Union is concerned that Twitter does not become a platform for inciting hatred. Billionaire Elon Musk was reminded of the laws governing the regulation of social networks. The Guardian writes about it.
Commenting on Elon Musk's message: "The bird" is free", EU Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton wrote: "In Europe, the "bird" will fly according to our rules."
It is noted that the EU is concerned that the acquisition of the social network by "free speech absolutist" Musk could lead to Twitter becoming a platform for inciting hatred.
Also responding to Musk's tweet, Breton reminded the billionaire about the Digital Services Act, which aims to crack down on illegal content and increase regulation of social media in general.
