US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is sure that the Ukrainian army is better prepared for winter operations than the Russians. He stated this during his trip to Indonesia, answering questions from journalists.

 "We have done a lot to prepare the Ukrainians for winter battles and to give them the ability to continue to put pressure on our adversaries during the winter months," CNN quoted him as saying.

 At the same time, Austin did not make assumptions about the prospects for the further release of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation temporarily occupied territories and possible terms.

 "It is difficult to predict how events will develop and in what terms, but we will support Ukraine as much as necessary," the head of the Pentagon assured.
