I believe that the pressure of the free world on Russia will force it to leave Ukraine - the president of the Czech Republic

Czech President Milos Zeman, in his Christmas address released on Monday, supported helping Ukraine in its war with Russia. This is reported by ČTK.

Zeman called the Russian invasion of Ukraine the most important event of the year. He emphasized that he has always been a supporter of correct economic relations with Russia, mainly through the supply of cheap energy resources.

"But there are situations when economic interests must yield to security interests," the Czech president noted.

According to Zeman, the current events in Ukraine threaten global security, including the security of the Czech Republic.

"That is why I fully support the assistance of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, which is struggling, and I believe that sooner or later the pressure of free countries will force Russia to leave the territory of Ukraine," he added.

We will remind that Zeman was considered a pro-Russian politician before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine and since then has consistently criticized Russian aggression.
