The World Economic Forum in Davos will be held without the participation of the Russians

The first "classic" World Economic Forum in Davos in several years, which opened on January 16, will be held without the participation of Russians - both politicians and businessmen, and there will be no representatives of China.

This is reported by Western and Russian mass media.

"A notable difference from the forums in recent decades is the absence of a Russian delegation, not only an official one, but also a business one," the Russian agency "Interfax" writes.

Bloomberg notes that if previously numerous Russian oligarchs came to Davos, this year there will be none, just as there will be no representative of China.

A total of 116 billionaires will attend the event - 40% more than ten years ago. Of them, 33 will be from the USA, 18 from European countries, and 13 from India.

Before that, the World Economic Forum in Davos was last held in the classic format in the winter of 2020 before the start of the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, it was held entirely online, and in 2022, for the first time in its 50-year history, the forum was held in summer instead of winter.
