German Development Minister Svenja Schulze promised to allocate an additional 52 million euros for the recovery of Ukraine in the conditions of Russian attacks on infrastructure.

"In the middle of the war, we are in the process of rebuilding Ukraine," the SPD politician said on Thursday during a visit to Odesa, which was kept secret for security reasons.

In 2022, the Ministry of Development of Germany supported Ukraine in the amount of about 600 million euros.

Schulze visited Ukraine for the second time after the Russian attack on February 24, 2022. At the end of May, she visited Kyiv.

On Friday, she is visiting a border community in the neighboring Republic of Moldova. As reported, during this visit the minister announced plans to provide 7 million euros to support Ukrainian refugees.
