The European Commission published a report on Ukraine's compliance with EU legislation

The European Commission published an analytical report assessing the ability of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia to undertake obligations related to EU membership.

 The content includes an analysis of the stage at which countries are in terms of compliance with EU legislation.

 

 "The reports complement the Conclusions on the applications of the three countries for EU membership, adopted by the European Commission in June 2022. The European Council granted a European perspective to the three countries and candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova in accordance with the Conclusions, which identify a number of priorities to be addressed in this context ", the press service writes.

 

 It is noted that all countries were evaluated on the basis of the same criteria and their own merits.

 The reports offer recommendations for the country's future work.

 

 "The European Commission will continue to provide Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia with recommendations and support in this matter in order to help the three countries in their further adaptation to EU standards and norms covering all EU legislation," the press service added.

 

 The commission will also report on the progress countries have made in implementing reforms under the "enlargement package" that will take place in the fall.
