The European Union will not allow the imperial plans of Russia and its dictator Vladimir Putin to come true.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced this in the Bundestag.
"We will not allow one country to seize part of another by force and thus call into question the principles of our peaceful order, therefore we will support Ukraine in defending its own sovereignty and territorial integrity as long as necessary," he said.
At the same time, Scholz added that in 2022, Germany provided Ukraine with total aid of 12 billion euros "and this year the massive support will be continued."
It will be recalled that previously Scholz criticized some countries which, according to him, are conducting "public competitions" in the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
In addition, Scholz rejected the possibility of supplying Ukraine with modern fighter jets.
