The National Guard told how they will train soldiers for the "Offensive Guard"

As part of the formation of the "Offensive Guard" units, the National Guard brigades will first be equipped, and then they will go to one of the ranges of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where their training will begin.

Colonel Artem Ilyukhin, commander of the 4th operational brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Rubizh", stated this during a briefing at the Ukraine - Ukrinform Media Center.

"As for the training of the fighters of these brigades, first these units are completed - company, battalion, etc. Then they go to one of the training grounds of the Armed Forces - and the training begins. It includes, in particular, individual training of a serviceman, that is, individual infantry training," said the representative of NSU.

The colonel of the National Guard noted that in parallel with this, junior commanders and sergeants, as well as specialists who were appointed to the positions of grenade launchers, machine gunners, snipers, etc., are beginning to prepare.

After the end of the individual training of the military, which will last up to two weeks, training will begin as part of the detachment, which should end with combat firing of the detachments, he said.

"Then we move on to another phase - training as part of a platoon unit. This stage ends with tactical training of the platoons with live fire. Then we move on to coordinating units within the company. After that - until coordination within the battalion", - informed the commander of the 4th brigade of operational assignment of NSU "Rubizh".

According to him, in parallel with the individual training, during the first two weeks, the training of the formed battalion headquarters begins according to the decision-making system of NATO partner countries, taking into account the experience of performing combat tasks in previous years and with the experience gained after February 24.

Separately, Ilyukhin said that preparing for offensive actions is different from preparing for defense. "All this is included in the stages of training, starting from small tactical groups and ending already as part of a platoon, a company," the soldier clarified.

As reported, on February 2, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the beginning of the formation of "Offensive Guard" assault brigades, which can be joined by volunteers. The basis of these units will be active policemen, border guards and National Guard fighters.

On February 9, NSU spokesman Ruslan Muzychuk said that there are also women among those willing to join the "Offensive Guard".
