French President Emmanuel Macron has appointed Pierre Heilbronn, former Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Policy and Partnerships, as a special envoy for aid and reconstruction of Ukraine.

 Heilbronn himself wrote about it on Twitter.

 "It is an extraordinary honor for me to receive the trust of President Emmanuel Macron, who has appointed me as a special envoy for assistance and reconstruction of Ukraine. Given this enormous challenge, I seek to coordinate and intensify France's efforts to restore Ukraine," he wrote in Ukrainian, English and French.

 Heilbronn was previously Vice President for Policy and Partnerships at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

 According to French media, Heilbronn received his appointment letter on March 6.
