 The Verkhovna Rada dismissed three ministers: Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet, Minister of Strategic Industry Pavel Ryabikin, and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

 

 People's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this in his Telegram.

 

 First, there was a vote on the resignation of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet. This decision was supported by 295 elected officials.

 

 "The appointment of Oksen Lisovoy as the new Minister of Education will take place at the next plenary session," Zheleznyak said.

 

 Then the People's Deputies voted for the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov. However, such resignation will be temporary. At the very next plenary session, he will be appointed to the same position with a new title: Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

 

 "Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov will take care of a number of other areas, in addition to digitalization. His future position will be Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

 

 Parliament supported the resignation of the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Pavlo Ryabikin. 303 People's Deputies voted "for". According to Zheleznyak, Ryabikin will probably go to China as an ambassador. The ex-head of Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandar Kamyshin will be appointed in his place.

 

 Last month, on February 7, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk to a permanent position.

 

 At the same time, a new minister of internal affairs was appointed - Ihor Klymenko, who was acting minister after the death of Denys Monastyrskyi in the disaster. Before his appointment as a minister, since 2019, Klymenko headed the National Police of Ukraine.
