The Air Force confirmed Ukraine's use of JDAM aerial bombs

Ukrainian combat aircraft are already using JDAM bombs against the Russian occupiers.

This was stated by the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, on the air of the telethon.

"We also use JDAM bombs. These are Western-style bombs with which our aviation successfully strikes important targets. These bombs are a little less powerful, but extremely accurate," Ignat said.

He also believes that Ukraine needs more such bombs in order to have even greater success on the front.

JDAM is a set of equipment based on GPS technology. Thanks to this, free-fall aerial bombs can be converted into all-weather corrected munitions. This kit includes an inertial navigation system and a GPS receiver that allows for increased accuracy, as well as small wings that attach to the middle of the bomb, and a tail unit that has controllable fins that allow the bomb to adjust its course while in flight to the target.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that the USA is supplying Ukraine with a long-range GPS-guided bomb produced by Boeing, which is capable of hitting targets at a distance of more than 70 km.
