In the near future, Poland plans to sign a law that will make it possible to study and investigate the influence of the Russian Federation on the situation in the country. A specialized commission will be created for this purpose.

 This was stated by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, the Associated Press reports.

 "I will sign the law on the creation of a commission that will be appointed to investigate Russian influence in Poland," the statement reads.

 The President of Poland added that he approves the draft law, because the USA and some European countries are discussing Russia's influence on domestic politics.

 "At the level of the European Union and in individual countries, commissions should also be formed to investigate Russia's influence on European institutions," said Duda.

 According to him, Poland will insist on this at the next session of the European Council.

 What exactly will this commission study?

 The initiative to create the State Commission for the study of Russian influence on the internal security of the Republic of Poland in 2007-2022 arose last December.

 The commission must consider and clarify the cases of public officials or members of the country's top management, who in 2007-2022, under the influence of Russia, acted to the detriment of Poland's interests.

 The commission must analyze official activities, transfer of information to third parties, conclusion of contracts or disposition of state or corporate funds, etc.

 We will remind that Poland has already frozen the assets of Russian oligarchs in the amount of more than one billion euros.

 Poland will also suspend cargo transportation for vehicles from Belarus and Russia. The government explained such a step by the need to ensure public order.
