Alexei Navalny, the Russian opposition leader, was also handed another visible punishment in addition to his sentence of 19 years in a special regime colony.
The court's decision states that Navalny is banned from posting on the Internet for the entire period of his imprisonment and for an additional 10 years after his release. This information is being disseminated by Russian and Ukrainian media with reference to the press service of the Moscow City Court.
If the oppositionist is released in 2042, he will be able to publish his first post only after almost 30 years, in 2052.
Alexei Navalny personally commented on the verdict, noting that it actually means "life imprisonment."
