Incident with SS Galicia Veteran: Polish ambassador demands apology

Polish Ambassador to Canada Witold Dzielski has demanded an apology in connection with the appearance of 98-year-old SS Galicia Division veteran Yaroslav Hunko in the Canadian Parliament.


He announced his demand on Twitter, accompanying the message with a photo of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau applauding Yaroslav Hunko.


"Poland is Ukraine's best friend, but it will never agree to whitewash such villains. As the Polish Ambassador to Canada, I expect an apology," Dzielski wrote.


It should be noted that the Ukrainian authorities have not yet responded to this incident.
