Persons liable for military service who illegally crossed the border will not escape punishment

Men who are liable for military service and illegally crossed the border of Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion will not be able to avoid responsibility for this violation upon returning to the country. This was announced by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, during the telethon of the United News.

He emphasized that attempts to illegally cross the border are recorded every day, and some conscripts find ways to do so outside of checkpoints.

"If someone crossed the state border illegally, they will be brought to justice when they return. This does not mean that if a person commits such a violation, he or she will avoid punishment," said the SBGS spokesperson.

He also noted that most attempts to illegally cross the border are registered outside the checkpoint on the border with Romania.

To a lesser extent, such cases are detected at checkpoints on the border with Poland, when men use forged documents.

According to the spokesperson, the number of cases of illegal border crossing is currently much lower than at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, when an average of 80-90 offenders were detained daily.
