During his speech, he emphasized that it is necessary to prevent the victory of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Czech leader called on Western countries to continue supporting Ukraine and not to get tired of participating in the war. He emphasized the need to find a solution that will ensure Ukraine's victory and prosperity, and that Russia must withdraw its troops.
Pavel also supported the introduction of new sanctions against Russia, noting that every European citizen suffers because of imperial ambitions.
The Czech president called for the EU enlargement and cooperation with transatlantic allies, believing that Europe's security depends on partnership and democracy.
He also emphasized the need to fight disinformation and the rise of populism before the European Parliament elections in 2024.
