The Norwegian government has developed plans to increase the country's defense budget by 15 billion kroner (approximately $1.7 billion), part of which is intended to provide assistance to Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in the BNN Breaking.
It is planned that this increase in Norway's defense budget will be 20% compared to the current year.
The proposed budget of 90.8 billion kroner (approximately $10.2 billion) for 2024 will focus on three key areas: strengthening defense capabilities, supporting Ukraine, and further strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
