The head of the OSCE in Kyiv: Ukraine is a priority in preserving peace

The Head of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, has arrived in Kyiv on a visit. This was reported by Civil media.

Osmani emphasized that Ukraine is a top priority during his country's chairmanship of the OSCE, as it is in our country that the future of the situation in Europe is decided.

It should be noted that Osmani has already visited one of the Kyiv schools that was shelled by Russia.

"This is a stark reminder of the world's urgent need. Every child deserves safety, education and a bright future," the OSCE chairman wrote.

The politician reminded that he began his country's OSCE chairmanship in 2023 with a trip to Ukraine. And now he is ending the year with a trip to the capital of Ukraine.

He also noted that there are 21 projects in Ukraine that include a demining program.

It is estimated that about 100,000 square kilometers of territory in Ukraine are contaminated with mines, and the demining process will take time.

"The OSCE is laying the groundwork and will take into account the environmental consequences of such a process," he said.
