Kuleba and Cameron in Odesa: new export routes and British support

Following talks with his newly appointed British counterpart, David Cameron, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the UK is impressed with Ukraine's success in the Black Sea and will increase its support. This is stated in the statement of the Foreign Ministry after the talks between the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and the UK in Kyiv and Odesa.

 

In addition, the participants visited the Odesa Commercial Port, where they discussed the promotion of Ukrainian grain exports. Kuleba expressed his gratitude for the recognition of Ukraine's success in the Black Sea and discussed plans to boost the national economy.

 

"I am especially grateful to my colleague for recognizing Ukraine's significant success in the Black Sea.... During this visit, we also agreed on a very clear list of next steps that the Ukrainian and British governments should take to bring our victory closer," Kuleba said.

 

Cameron noted progress in overcoming Russian attacks in the Black Sea and introduced a new tool to improve insurance for ships using the sea route.

 

Promising support for Ukraine, he emphasized the importance of securing export revenues and economic recovery.

 

The British Foreign Secretary also reaffirmed the United Kingdom's determination to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
