The Ukrainian Marine Corps has confirmed the information about the creation of several bridgeheads on the left bank of the Kherson region, as reported by the media in recent weeks.
"The Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a series of successful actions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson direction. Ukrainian marines, in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces, managed to gain a foothold on several bridgeheads," the statement said.
It is reported that the Russian army lost more than a thousand people killed and two thousand wounded, as well as dozens of units of various equipment and ammunition depots.
The marines are currently striking at Russian facilities on the left bank.
