Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and President of the European Investment Bank Werner Hoyer discussed existing and new reconstruction projects. Shmyhal reported this on Facebook.
"We discussed existing and new restoration projects. We look forward to their implementation. The government actively cooperates with the EIB in the areas of infrastructure, energy, and heat supply," he said.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the Bank's consistent work in cooperation with communities and the implementation of municipal projects, as well as for financial support to Ukraine, in particular for the creation of effective tools for post-war recovery.
Shmyhal emphasized that the European Investment Bank had already provided financial support to the state budget in March 2022, accumulating a total of more than €7.5 billion for Ukraine.
"We highly appreciate the active role of the EIB in supporting Ukraine," the Prime Minister emphasized.
The Prime Minister also welcomed the opening of the EIB's representative office in Eastern Europe, including an office in Kyiv.
