Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan and Georgia are close partners, and their cooperation is not limited to energy. This strategically important team in Europe was created thanks to the interaction of both countries.
According to Trend, the president said this during the Forum "Karabakh: Returning Home after 30 Years. Achievements and Difficulties" organized by the ADA University in cooperation with the Center for the Analysis of International Relations.
Recalling that he regularly visits Georgia and the Georgian Prime Minister visits Azerbaijan, and important issues are discussed during these meetings, the head of state emphasized: "We fully understand Georgia's desire to join the European Union, I wish my Georgian friends success in this enterprise and congratulate them on granting Georgia the status."
