In Ukraine, the declarations of employees of territorial centers for recruitment and social support (TCC) and members of military medical commissions (MMC) will be open for public access. This was stated by Kateryna Butko, head of the Public Council at the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, on Radio Liberty.
"The declarations of the representatives of the TCC and the staff of the MMC will be open. This is an exception, and this was also discussed during the adoption of the draft law. Given all the scandals with lifestyle monitoring, everything that has been revealed about TCC representatives, their declarations should definitely be open. This was the position of the head of the Anti-Corruption Committee and many others," Butko said.
At the same time, she said, the declarations of servicemen mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their families remain closed due to the security situation.
"We are not saying that absolutely all declarations should be open. Everyone understands the times we live in, and it is obvious that due to the security situation, some of the declarations should be closed, because these are declarations of military people, declarations of intelligence officers, declarations of people whose family members have mobilized and gone to war. Of course, such declarations should be closed," added the head of the Public Council.
Butko also said that after the adoption of the law on restoration of declaration and opening of public access, they discussed the mechanism of closing declarations that are not intended for publication.
"In fact, these 90 days, namely, how much time has passed since the adoption of the law, were spent on discussing the mechanism itself, how to close, how to remove these declarations that are dangerous for publication for these people. And in fact, this is how the mechanism of withdrawal of declarations was invented," she noted.
