Shmyhal: The World Bank allocates 1.34 billion to Ukraine for salaries and state budget support

The World Bank allocates an additional $1.34 billion to Ukraine. The money will be used to pay pensions, salaries and other priority areas. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

"These funds will be used to pay pensions, teachers' salaries, support IDPs and other priority state budget expenditures," the Prime Minister said.

The main part of this funding package is the funds of the Japanese government (USD 1.086 billion). The other part is grants from the United States, Switzerland and the Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (URTF).

According to Shmyhal, financial assistance from international partners allows Ukraine to ensure macro-financial stability and direct all domestic resources to the needs of the army.
