Lithuanian President considers the possibility of Russian aggression against NATO in case of stopping support for Ukraine

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda believes that Russia may resort to aggression against NATO countries if the West stops supporting Ukraine. The Lithuanian president said this in an interview with TV3, as cited by Delfi.

At the same time, Nauseda said that the probability of ending support for Ukraine is low.

"It will depend on the scenario of the war in Ukraine. If Russia fails to turn everything in its favor, then of course it will be stuck there for a long time and will not be able to fight on several fronts. If the situation is different, and the West suddenly turns its back on Ukraine and does not provide it with the necessary assistance... Yes, that could happen, but the probability of such a scenario is low," he noted, commenting on talk of a threat to NATO from Russia.

According to Nauseda, "no one has an answer to the question of when Russia's behavior might change and when it will turn its gaze toward NATO."
