President of Lithuania: Russia's statements about negotiations are tactical tricks

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda urged not to trust Russia's statements about its readiness to negotiate, Delfi reports.

According to him, Russia can imitate the initiative of negotiations, but these are tactical tricks.

"Russia will take advantage of this time to get back on its feet and strike again with new force," Nauseda said.

He noted that the right to negotiate belongs only to President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the last word in this matter remains with Ukraine.

"A country that has made so many sacrifices and lost so much has the first moral right to decide on its own whether it starts negotiations and on what terms it negotiates. No one else has a decisive vote in this matter," the politician emphasized.
