The president of Argentina has officially rejected the invitation to join the BRICS group, sending corresponding letters to the President of the Russian Federation and the President of the People's Republic of China, Brasil 247 reports.
It is reported that Argentine leader Javier Milei does not consider it appropriate for Argentina to join this international organization, and therefore made the final decision to refuse to participate.
The letter was also sent to other leaders of the organization's member states - India, South Africa and Brazil.
As a reminder, Argentina was officially invited to join the BRICS in August of this year.
