Russian troops continue intense attacks near Kupyansk and Bakhmut, - Syrskyi

Russian troops continue intense attacks in the areas of Kupyansk and Bakhmut, and are regrouping in the Lyman direction. This was reported by the commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to him, heavy fighting continues near Bakhmut in the vicinity of Bohdanivka, and Russia is also trying to advance in the direction of Chasiv Yar. In the direction of Kupyansk, the enemy conducts daily assaults near Synkivka to create a foothold and further advance on the city.

"In the Lyman direction, the Russian occupants are regrouping and preparing for offensive actions after suffering losses. At the same time, the enemy is actively using aviation in this area to launch attacks with guided aerial bombs," said Syrskyi.

The commander said that on the offensive directions, the Russians have increased the use of armored vehicles to support the infantry. The main striking force of the assaults is the Storm-Z and Storm-V units of former criminals. The enemy transfers reserves from other directions.

"Our soldiers, despite the difficult conditions, are holding the line and preventing the enemy from advancing. The command and control bodies are constantly working to develop solutions aimed primarily at outpacing the enemy's actions, conducting effective counter-battery combat, destroying the reserves on their way to advance and saving the lives of our servicemen," the military commander emphasized.
