Lithuania announces approval of long-term support package for Ukraine and plans new deliveries

Lithuania has approved a package of long-term military aid to Ukraine worth €200 million. New deliveries for January and February have also been announced. This was announced by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

 

 

"We continue to support the brave Ukrainians in their struggle by all means: military, economic and political. At the National Defense Council, we approved a package of long-term military aid worth 200 million euros," Nauseda said.


According to the Lithuanian president, in January the country will send ammunition, generators, and detonation systems to Ukraine, and in February - M577 armored personnel carriers.


Lithuania also plans to train Ukrainian soldiers and strengthen cooperation in the defense industry with Ukraine.


"The agreements signed today between the Ukrainian and Lithuanian defense industries are another example of our close military cooperation," Nauseda added.
