The community of Lviv will pay 50,000 hryvnias each to residents who sign a contract with the military units of the Air Assault Forces and the Marines. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Andriy Sadovyi, on Telegram.

"50 thousand hryvnias from the community of Lviv to everyone who decided to sign a contract with the military units of the Air Assault Forces and the Marines," he wrote.

The decision was made on Friday, January 12, at the Executive Committee. According to the mayor, this will be an additional motivation and support for the guys who decided to defend Ukraine.

Other communities in Ukraine have similar motivation. For example, in the Shpolyanska community of Cherkasy region, those who will be mobilized or sign a contract for military service in 2024 will receive a one-time financial assistance of UAH 20,000 from the local budget. The same amount of remuneration was approved in Odesa in November. Kyiv will pay UAH 30,000 to Kyiv residents mobilized after December 1.
