Zelensky in Davos: Putin is the only reason for wars and conflicts

Putin has taken away 13 years of peace, and he is the only reason why various wars and conflicts are taking place. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the Davos Forum.

"In fact, Putin personifies war. We all know that he is the only reason why various wars and conflicts continue and why all attempts to restore peace fail. And he will not change. We must change," the President said.

The head of state added that this year it is necessary to make "a strong decision to confiscate Russian assets and direct them to rebuild Ukraine and protect it from war."

Zelensky also added that sanctions do not block Russia's ability to produce missiles, and the fact that Russia's nuclear sector is still not under restrictions is "the West's weakness."

The head of state emphasized that every frozen conflict will sooner or later flare up again, and "reducing pressure on the aggressor only prolongs the war."

In his speech, Zelensky accused the West of playing into Russia's hands by not escalating the situation.

"We constantly heard that we should not allow escalation, and it took us a lot of time. And because of this, we have lost a lot of our experienced fighters who have been fighting since 2014," Zelensky said.
