American M1 Abrams tanks have been fighting in the Avdiivka area for over a month. The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade has been equipped with the vehicles and has published a video of their combat operations.
The video shows tank strikes on the positions of Russian troops.
It is noted that Abrams "show high survivability in combat".
"The entire ammunition is located outside the tower in a special rear niche. When hit, the energy of the explosion goes up. And the powerful multi-layer armor makes the Abrams one of the most protected tanks in the world," the 47th Brigade said.
This is the first official recognition of the combat use of Abrams in Ukraine.
