Denmark closes case on undermining Nord Stream

The Danish authorities have announced that they have closed the investigation into the explosions on the Russian Nord Stream gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea. This was reported by Reuters.

"There are no sufficient grounds to initiate criminal proceedings in Denmark... and therefore the Copenhagen police have decided to close the criminal investigation into the explosions," the Danish police said in a statement.

Earlier in February, Sweden closed its own investigation into the explosions. According to a statement from the prosecutor's office, no suspects were identified and it was concluded that the case was outside Swedish jurisdiction.

As a reminder, the pipelines were blown up in the waters of Sweden and Denmark in September 2022.
