Former member of the Verkhovna Rada Serhiy Pashynskyi, who was arrested on February 26 on suspicion of corruption, has been released on bail. He announced this personally on Tuesday on Facebook.
The former MP wrote that the money for his release was paid by defense enterprises.
"I am very grateful for such tremendous support, but at the same time I am very ashamed that the funds that were supposed to be used to produce weapons were used to bail me out on fake charges. I will work for every penny and get this money back," Pashynskyi said.
As a reminder, the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for Pashynskyi in the form of detention until April 25 with an alternative bail of UAH 272.5 million. Under the bail conditions, he is obliged to appear at every summons and request of the investigator or court; not to leave Kyiv and Kyiv region without permission; to report changes in his place of residence; to refrain from communicating with other suspects, witnesses in criminal proceedings and other persons regarding the suspicion notified to him; to deposit his passports and wear an electronic bracelet.
