Drone attack in Sumy: infrastructure and civilian buildings damaged

In Sumy, during the attack by Russian kamikaze drones on the night of Wednesday, March 6, there was one "hit" at a critical infrastructure facility and two at civilian objects. This was reported by the acting mayor of the city, secretary of the city council Artem Kobzar. 


According to him, specialists from the city's infrastructure department, voluntary groups and volunteers are currently working at the site of the hits.

"We are providing assistance to the victims, damage is recorded. Anyone who needs help can contact the representatives of the headquarters working at the "arrival" sites," said Kobzar.

 

 

The State Emergency Service noted that the fires caused by the hit of the Shahed had to be extinguished at three addresses in different parts of the city. Thus, in one of the residential buildings affected by the attack, three apartments on the third floor of a five-story residential building caught fire.


At the other address, the attack caused varying degrees of damage to residential buildings and cars. 


It is also known that heating, electricity and gas were cut off in one of the buildings. Heating was also turned off in some of the nearby buildings.

 

 

According to the head of the Sumy city military administration, Oleksiy Drozdenko, four people were injured and were treated on the spot.
