According to the SHOT channel, residents of Ivanovo spotted the plane around 12:45 local time.

 

 

"A plane with the engine on fire tried to land at the airfield in the Ivanovo region. At the moment, there is a lot of smoke coming from the airfield," Russian sources report.


The crash occurred near the Severny airfield, where A-50s are based, the enemy adds.


The ASTRA Telegram channel later published a photo.

 

 

According to channel 112, it is an Il-76 military transport aircraft. Emergency services are arriving at the scene en masse. The Russians report that, preliminarily, there were 12 people on board, all of whom died.

Emergency services are working at the scene. Firefighters are extinguishing the flames.


It is known that there were 15 people on board. The remains of five victims were found at the crash site. The remaining crew and passengers are likely to be inside.
